How Age is Calculated

The calculator uses two methods: (1) age in years, months, and days, and (2) precise age in total days. It assumes all years as 365 days and all months as 30.4167 days for general results, while also offering exact day counts for precision.

Use the calculator to count days until special events like birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays. It adjusts for leap years, months of 30 or 31 days, and February’s unique case.

Date Inputs

The calculator accepts single-digit days and requires a 4-digit year. It assumes the start date is Day 0. For example, entering 03/15/2022 to 03/18/2022 results in 3 days.

How to Calculate in Excel

Use Excel’s =DATEDIF function to calculate years, months, or days since a birthdate. Combine results with =CONCAT to output “X years, Y months, Z days”.
